Kelly Tarlton's

On Monday team 4 went to Kelly Tarlton’s to learn about Antarctica we could not wait we hopped on the bus then it started moving. We were so excited that we were going Kelly Tarltons it took us about 20 minutes to get to Kelly Tarltons. When we got there we hopped out of the bus and waited for the others to arrive  when they came we lined up and walked inside.

At Kelly Tarlton's I saw the Penguins it was so cool there were Gentos and Kings. They were maullting I discovered when they molt they bite off their fur. So it can grow back faster but when they moult they do not swim until they grow it back.

Then we went to the StingRays we walk down the ramp and and saw it’s little head and eyes. Then it went on the rock and it look camouflaged and it looked like a part of the rock. It looked so cool but then we went.

We saw the Sharks we saw all of them first we looked at the sand Tiger Shark it looked so cool. Then we saw sharks swimming above us it looked so cool. I was walking and saw a Shark camouflaged on the rocks just like.

Then we went to this lady called Janice she was telling us about Antarctica. She called some volunteers up to the front. Janice dress them up in modern uniform to get ready for Antarctica. And then she dress someone up in a uniform what we wear today, they looked so funny then we had some morning tea.

BasketBall

Room thirteen always go out and plays basketball on thursday and now it’s the last day of basketball because it’s nearly holiday.At basketball because it was the last time we were going to play we just had competitiions we lost because we diden’t have basketball hoops we ahd netball hoops and we were versing netball players.

we were out so we had to vs the losing team from the other court it was full court.We went over and started getting ready to play there was five people on the court at a time then we started play they scored the first goal.Then we scored the second it was all down to this they shot but did not get it in then we shot and got it in so we won then we had another game.

we played tunnel ball it was cool then we went we said bye to ty.

farewell Mrs Verry

On friday we had a assembly for Mrs Verry we had the nasanail  we had samoan dances junior pounamu and they did the haka because Miss Verry has nearly been in pt england for 20 years.He was Mr burts Neighbours she mite be a little bit grouchy sometimes.

BUT WE STILL LOVE HER!!!!
Because shes the super grand.

Tommy kapai wilson

On friday a famous person came to pt england school his name was tommy kapai wilson he told us a story about his life.He told us five facts about his life the first fact about his life was he had 10 brother and sister in his family.One day his dad said if you make 10 people smile a day you will succeed in your life and and he did but his first job was a dishwasher then one day he made a lady smile and she said you will succeed in life and that was true.And then he served george harrison and made him smile when he did he got to jam with the beatles because he made george smile.And he said war is dumb

And then he told us about the second fact on his life journey because he made 10 people smile every day.And on his way he gotta putta boom boom it’s is a car and his putta boom boom was a ferrari and.One day he met the prince of  south africa After two weeks he got to call him bro then two week later he got to call him mate.Just because he made  him smile.

Aldora’s Cross Country Recount

Today we practiced recrafting a piece of writing 

“yeah” I said happily to myself. I was nearly there. I sprinted to the finish line and  made myself happy. I had a drink and then I had a rest. Looking down at my pretty purple and black shoes, it was all muddy and yucky.

Finishing the race I felt terrible because I hadn’t caught up with my friends. Finally I looked down at my purple and black shoes, they were like dark chocolate.

So I had a drink and watched the year 7 and 8 race. I wondered who would come first.

Relay Team

The champion relay team passed the baton carefully. Carefully the champion relay team passed the baton. Passing the baton carefully,the champion relay team won a gold.

end of Rugby league season

At the end of rugby league we always go somewhere and this time we are going out west to action world.It is going to be fun because after action world we are going all you can eat pizza. then after that where going bowling i cant bowl but i will try my best because champions never give up and always keep going.


but that going to take the whole day to 5:30pm that's why i"m  so exited.But after that where going home.

Usain Bolt the worlds fastest

Getting ready on the block, everyone head down and focused.’’Take your marks. GO’’ the athletes ran.
Off ran Usain Bolt.Like the wind,with strength speed and a powerful finish.

Now Usain Bolt is the world sprint champion and the double Olympic champion. He represented his country Jamaica.

Sentence bulders

Cross country practice

Feet pounding the pavement, our hearts were beating so fast. Calve muscles as sore as they could be, we ran down towards Mr Sommerville. Our cross country run was almost over.



As I run i'm hating every minute and I start thinking how much longer. By the time I got to mr Summerville I was wishing for rain. He told everyone that they were doing a good job.
Not long after that I started walking.

When everyone started passing me I started running I got up to my teacher mrs King she tells us to hurry up. I didn’t want to upset my teacher so I started running a little faster.When i cross the road i sprinted my fast all the way to the crossing where Mrs Garden was.



I was almost there but I got tired so I started walking with my friend Tame. We started talking then we started jogging then we sprinted all the way back. We all had to walk in a giant square after that we did stretches when we finished we lined up i front of Miss K

Snow Day

In Christchurch there are light snowflakes drifting downwards, blanketing the city. It was a whiteout transforming the landscapes to snow. Catching it on your tongue,it tasted like water.


There was a severe storm of snow so the road are closed.So the school was over for
the day.

When Pigasso meet Mootisse

Once upon a time there was a  pig named Pigasso and a cow named Mootisse.
They were famous painters one day they got sick and tired of people disturbing
them.So they went and buyed them a house and Pigasso house was pointing to the east.
And mootisse house was pointing to the west and both of them wanted to welcome each other with flowers then when they meet  each other they started painting together then one day mootisse made fun of Pigasso painting then Pigasso made fun of Mootisses painting.
Then they were really mad at each other then they started a art attack Mootisse painted his house then Pigasso painted his house once they saw the their houses then they built
a fence between the middle of the road then they painted and then they felt sorry about
each other.Then they went out side and did what they do best painted then they walked
around the fence and saw each other  one month later a museum buyed it.

The painting is divided strongly down the center with thick,black,vertical lines. On
left hand side violent motion is expressed by sharp jagged tangled lines. On the
right  hand side and calm emotions using sweeped forms and colour on top.  

The divided lines are really two sword held by red hatted cossacks . Next to them a third
white bearded cossacks. leans against the purple sword they stand before a blue mountain
with a castle on top

In the lower left two boat are depicted and a rainbow .In the lower right two people lie on a hill
while two priests are watching them.   

Tissue Flowers

Making the petals was so difficult as we had to make them realistic.
Slowly I painted my background blue and green.
All around the table it was covered with tissue.
Lastly I had to colour in my flower.

my crayon story

on tuesday we made melted crayon art. Firstly we glued the crayon to some canvas using a hot glue gun. We used different shades of red, blue, yellow, orange, green, purple and black. We then cut a stencil out of cardboard and we traced it onto our canvas Lastly, we covered it with plastic.

melting the crayons with a hair dryer it was cool. Gravity made it dribble down the painting. The crayon hardend quickly.It looked cool the way it dribble down the painting.

Next we made a movie of our melted crayon art.We use a flip video It was fun making the movie and it was so fun making the melted art because

New Furniture

Surprise of all surprises,Room 13’s furniture arived on time.Sitting at our flash new tables and relaxing on our steps is heaps of fun.Thank to Mr burt and mr J for getting our new furniture.

Deadly Hippos

As the tourists rode around the African lake,the hippos chased after them. Galloping towards the small boat, the hippos frightened the tourists. Ruthlessly, the hippo gained speed on the boat.

Candy dragon

Making a dragon out of melted sugar, an old man in China worked hard. It was amazing. Carefully, he poured the sugar on to non stick paper. It looked like apiece of art. When he was finished he took it off the paper and gave it to a boy.
